By a kind invitation of Mr. Remigijus Simasius, the Mayor of Vilnius, Litvak World visited Vilnius City Municipality to present the results of the International Youth Workshop 2018. The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Vilnius Mr. Remigijus Simasius, Mayor’s adviser Mrs. Dalia Bardauskiene, Chairman of the Board of Jerusalem of the North Mr. Antanas Zabulis, Executive Director of the Lithuanian Jewish Community Mr. Renaldas Vaisbrodas, architect Vincas Brezgys, Head of the Vilnius City Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Department Mr. Darius Daunoras, Deputy Director of City Development Department Mrs. Ruta Matoniene.

The main goal of this meeting was to share the youth’s expectations of the Great Synagogue of Vilna site commemoration project. The Mayor took into account the ideas expressed and suggested several ideas to be included in the project plan.

We really appreciate the Mayor’s involvement and openness to the ideas of the young generation!
